Teacher Training Workshop in Türkiye on Digital Citizenship organised within the framework of the European Year 2025

Within the framework of the European Year of Digital Citizenship Education 2025, the General Directorate of Innovation and Education Technologies (YEGITEK) of the Turkish Ministry of Education organised a training workshop on digital citizenship education on 5-9 May in Ankara.

58 trainers from 55 provinces in Türkiye received training on the 10 digital domains, adult education and local education. The Training Toolkit developed within the project on digital citizenship education was used as a reference guide during the workshop. Currently available in English and Turkish, the Toolkit includes specific modules on the 10 digital domains and examples of activities to be carried out in classrooms.

As a result of the training workshop, participants will be able to facilitate upcoming training sessions organised in their provinces using as the Training Toolkit as key reference guide. Their role will be crucial in delivering digital citizenship education to educators, learners, parents and carers across the country.
