France presents the European Year of Digital Citizenship Education 2025 at Educatech

The French Ministry of National Education presented the European Year of Digital Citizenship Education 2025 during Educatech, an exhibition on innovation in education which took place on 13-15 November 2024 in Paris.

Ms. Nathalie Terrades and Mr. Stephane Guerault, DCE Promoters, presented the main goals and campaign topics of the European Year, introducing the proposed activities by the Digital Education Department and General Directorate of School Education.

On that occasion, Tralalére, the French operator of Safer Internet Day, announced the theme for the upcoming 2025 edition which will be marked on 11 February 2025, namely “AI and Us, What Future Together?”. The topic, closely aligned with the European Year of Digital Citizenship Education 2025, encourages discussions on the role of artificial intelligence in people’s digitally enriched lives, highlighting the experiences of students and educators.
